Your email, and how we look after it
We ask for very little, and we keep it to ourselves.
What we collect
When you subscribe, we collect:
- your email address
- the date you signed up
- the page you signed up from
We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t collect payment details.
Why we collect it
We use your email address to give you access to the full articles on The Modern Psychonaut and to send you occasional letters about new writing. We don’t use it for anything else.
Where it is kept
Subscriber details are stored in a private Google Sheet that only The Modern Psychonaut can access. Google may store this data on servers outside Australia. If we later use an email service to send our letters, your email address will be kept there too, for the same purpose.
Who we share it with
No one. We never sell, rent or trade your details.
On your device
After you subscribe, this website saves a small note in your browser so it doesn’t ask you again. It contains no personal details, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google when the page loads.
Unsubscribing, and your details
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our emails. You can also reply to any of our emails to ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you.
